Here’s a perk for service members as Veterans Day approaches – SeaWorld will offer half off admission for those who are in or have served in the military, along with up to five companions.

It’s the second year SeaWorld will offer the “Waves of Honor” promotion for veterans. It also will work at most other parks in the SeaWorld chain, and Busch Gardens Parks.

Those who qualify must be on active duty, retired or honorably discharged. Tickets must be purchased by Nov. 11 – Veterans Day – and redeemed by Dec. 21.

“We’re proud to extend this special offer to the 22 million U.S. veterans and their friends and families in celebration of their service,” said Jim Atchison, president and CEO of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, in a news release.

To purchase tickets, service members can go online at
www.wavesofhonor.com or buy them at participating military bases. SeaWorld requires proof of service to qualify for the discounts.

Those who are on active duty who have visited SeaWorld or other parks in the chain using the “Waves of Honor” complimentary admission also are eligible for the Veterans Day offer.

SeaWorld created the program to salute the military in 2001 and has hosted more than 6 million service members and their families since it began.

Discounts offered in the “Waves of Honor” program do not include Discovery Cove in Orlando or Aquatica, SeaWorld’s Waterpark.
