San Diego Humane Society’s 39th annual Fur Ball, a gala aimed at raising funds for more than 40,000 four-legged friends, returns Saturday for a night of compassion, style, and charm.
The event will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday at 5500 Gaines St. at the organization’s San Diego campus, according to Humane Society officials.
Some of the evening’s festivities include red carpet arrivals with glamorous guests and pets, a gourmet vegetarian dinner by Chef Jeffrey Strauss, auctions, and an after-party with live music.
“With shelters over capacity, this year’s event is more important than ever,” event organizers said in a statement.
The San Diego Humane Society offers programs that strengthen the human-animal bond, prevent cruelty and neglect, provide medical care, educate the community, and serve as a safety net for all pet families.
