Woof!
Encinitas Community Park will celebrate the 20th annual Dog Days of Summer on Sunday, a local event that celebrates dogs and the Cardiff-by-the-Sea community.
The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the park, will feature more than 100 vendors offering dog-related products and services, as well as local rescue groups, adoption agencies, and a Maker’s Market Row featuring handmade goods from regional artisans. Those attending can also enjoy live music, dog contests, food trucks, and children’s activities.
“This is my favorite event of the year,” said Alison Wielechowski, director of Cardiff 101, the event organizers. “We’re at a park with the ocean breeze, and people are coming together to celebrate their furry four-legged friends. The contests are super fun, the Libation Lounge is refreshing, and this year’s VIP tent with misters and shade is going to be the place to be.”
The VIP tent includes access to the shade and misters located next to the main stage, complimentary drinks and snacks, spray tattoos for dogs and humans, goodies for the first 100 people, and a ticket to a special drawing.
Rescue Row, presented by Rancho Coastal Humane Society, will offer guests the opportunity to meet adoptable pets from a variety of local rescue organizations.
This event is free and open to the public. Leashed, friendly dogs are welcome.
