
Out of an abundance of caution due to fire weather and subsequent power shutoffs, campuses in some school districts in the mountain areas of San Diego County are scheduled to be closed Tuesday, officials announced.
Due to public safety power shutoffs and inclement weather, schools in the following districts will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 10:

– Jamul-Dulzura Union
– Julian Union Elementary
– Julian Union High
– Mountain Empire
– Ramona Unified
– Spencer Valley
– Vallecitos
Strong Santa Ana winds and low humidity are contributing to the decision to do so.
Schools in the following districts will close Tuesday, according to the San Diego County Office of Education:
— Alpine Union School District;
— Borrego Springs Unified School District;
— Jamul-Dulzura Union School District;
— Julian Union Elementary School District;
— Julian Union High School District;
— Mountain Empire School District;
— Spencer Valley School District;
— Warner Unified School District;
— Ramona School District;
— Dehesa School District; and
— Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District.
Del Lago Academy in the Escondido Union High School District and Vivian Banks Charter School in the Bonsall Unified School District are also closed due to power shutoffs.
