Taylor Swift fans across Southern California are invited to celebrate the superstar’s birthday at Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina’s Downtown Skate on Friday.
The hotel, which recently opened a seasonal 6,000-square-foot rink along the San Diego Bay, will host a special “Swiftmas Skate” featuring Taylor Swift cookies from Inbar Shochat of Sugar n Spice, curated food and beverage options and five premium seating areas ($100 each) each with décor inspired by the albums Red, Fearless, Reputation, Lover and 1989.
Perfectly primed for families, friends, date nights, and groups, the rink is mere steps from Seaport Village, The Rady Shell, Petco Park, the Gaslamp District, and more, placing Downtown Skate at the epicenter of many of San Diego’s greatest attractions.
Shining a bright light on the local community, Downtown Skate has partnered with beloved ice cream and bakery shop Cali Cream to provide gingerbread ice cream sandwiches, hot chocolate, baked goods and have collaborated to create an exclusive ice cream flavor available only at the Downtown Skate location. For quick bites, grab-and-go snacks such as popcorn, cotton candy, soda, and alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase.
Downtown Skate is open daily through Jan. 5 and will host a variety of events during its run, including DJs every weekend and an ugly sweater party Dec. 24-Dec. 25.
