Continuing a tradition of holiday generosity, an anonymous donor will purchase thousands of toys from Geppetto’s at The Forum Carlsbad for the sixth year in a row to donate to Toys for Tots.
In a show of support, Geppetto’s and Northwood Retail will also donate toys to be added to the sizeable gift. Toys for Tots, run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, aims to bring joy to underserved children by distributing new, unwrapped toys during the holiday season.
“We are deeply grateful to partner with this incredible anonymous donor, whose unwavering generosity has provided thousands of gifts to children in need over the last five years,” said Brian Miller, owner of Geppetto’s. “His selflessness is a testament to the true spirit of the holidays, and his contributions—amounting to over $200,000 just in the last two years—have significantly impacted the Toys for Tots program.”
On the morning of Thursday, Nov. 7, the U.S. Marine Corps will join the anonymous donor at Geppetto’s to personally select and box toys that will be loaded for collection between 7–9 a.m.
The store will open to the public at 10 a.m., with community members invited to participate in the spirit of giving by donating new toys. Those who donate on Nov. 7 will be entered into a raffle for a $100 Geppetto’s gift card. This event also marks the start of the holiday Toys for Tots campaign, with all of Geppetto’s locations serving as official drop-off points throughout the season.
