Temperatures in most parts of San Diego County will be about 5 to 10 degrees above normal through the weekend, while temperatures will be slightly below average to normal along the coasts and valleys, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures Wednesday are expected to reach 71 to 76 near the coast, 80 inland, 79 to 83 in the western valleys, 87 to 92 near the foothills, 85 to 95 in the mountains and 105 to 108 in the deserts, NWS said.

Temperatures Thursday will cool slightly along the coast and valleys, with an increased marine layer pushing clouds farther inland.

Night and morning coastal low clouds will persist, extending into the western valleys each night.

By Sunday, temperatures are forecast to drop further along the coast and valleys, but desert highs will stay well above average, reaching 100 to 105 degrees, according to meteorologists.
