A slight deepening of the marine layer at the coast and valleys will bring high temperatures a few degrees cooler Wednesday and Thursday followed by a warming trend into the middle of next week.
There will only be minor day-to-day differences in high temperatures in the mountains and deserts for the next week, according to the National Weather Service.
High temperatures in San Diego County Wednesday are expected to reach 72 to 77 near the coast, 79 to 82 inland, 81 to 85 in the western valleys, 88 to 93 near the foothills, 86 to 96 in the mountains and around 110 in the deserts, NWS said.
Even with a slight increase in monsoonal moisture on Thursday and Friday, chances for measurable rainfall in the mountains will remain below 10% and chances for thunder will remain below 15%.
