Dry weather will persist in San Diego County through early next week, with a cooling trend continuing into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
High temperatures Thursday are expected to reach 73 to 78 near the coast, 79 to 82 inland, 81 to 85 in the western valleys, 85 to 90 near the foothills, 83 to 93 in the mountains and 105 to 109 in the deserts. Highs Friday are forecast slightly below seasonal averages.
A coastal eddy is expected to bring a deeper marine layer, causing low clouds to extend into inland valleys by Friday morning, NWS said.
High pressure will return next week, leading to a warming trend from Sunday through Tuesday. There is also a chance of monsoonal moisture returning by the middle of next week.
