A cold front moving through Southern California will being light rain and below-average temperatures to San Diego on Sunday.

“A period of mostly light rain will move through the region through the late morning followed by a mostly cloudy cool day and a chilly night with gradual clearing,” the National Weather Service said.

Rainfall is expected to be under a quarter of an inch along the coast and in the valleys, with up to half an inch in the mountains.

Highs Sunday will be around 65 along the coast, 64 in the western valleys, 56 to 61 near the foothills, 49 to 59 in the mountains and 73 to 77 in the deserts.

Dry weather with a slow warming trend will prevail through most of next week.
