A mild earthquake rattled the northeastern reaches of San Diego County Tuesday, but there were no reports of any damage or injuries.
The 3.1-magnitude quake struck shortly before 3 p.m. and was centered in the area of Rockhouse Canyon, around 11 miles due north of Borrego Springs and about a mile south of the Riverside County line, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Representatives of Cal Fire and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said the agencies had received no calls reporting any problems related to the quake.
