
San Diego can expect clear skies and unusually warm weather this weekend, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.
“High pressure will expand over the Southwest, leading to a warmer weather pattern into the weekend. Above average temperatures and mostly clear skies can be expected,” the agency said.
The warming will be felt on Friday, with high temperatures reaching 73 to 78 near the coast, 80 to 85 inland, 86 to 91 in the valleys, 79 to 86 in the mountains and 96 to 101 in the deserts.
Highs in most areas will be 5 to 15 degrees above average on Saturday, with the temperature topping out at 105 in the deserts.
It will be slightly cooler on Sunday, with seasonal temperatures retuning by early next week.
