Miguel L. Garibaldi of San Diego said he has always dreamed of having a career that would make his family proud. Today, he’s living that dream.
Garibaldi, of the U.S. Navy, along with two other local sailors, will participate in the Pacific Airshow this weekend in Huntington Beach. The event, which begins Friday, will feature the U.S. Navy Blue Angels as the team celebrates its 75th anniversary. Other popular air teams include the Canadian Snowbirds, and the U.S.-based Air Force ACC F-35 Lightning II Demo squad and the the U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey Demo Team.
Garibaldi, an aviation mechanic, said he’s honored to participate in the event.
“I have the honor to showcase the professionalism of the military and how much I enjoy doing my job while making connections all over the country,” Garibaldi said.
Cameron Tuzon, an aviation machinist, and Moises Mercado, an aviation structural mechanic, share the honor of participating in the airshow.
“My favorite part of my job is traveling around the country, talking to people about what I do and what we do as a team, and hopefully raising the spirits of everyone we meet along the way,” Mercado said.
The event is open to the public with admission tickets starting at $25 per person. Children ages 5 and under are free.
