 Armstrong Garden Centers invites California gardeners of all skill levels to its upcoming community classes. Each workshop will encourage attendees to nurture their green thumbs with a wide range of topics for the spring season. The classes will be held at all 31 stores throughout California and are free to attend.

Armstrong Garden Centers scheduled activities for September 2019: 

  • Saturday, Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. – Gardening 101 –The warm soil and cool nights make fall the perfect time to plant. Local Armstrong horticulturalists will teach you the basics of gardening including how to determine your soil type and sunlight, give information on some of the best plants for communities along with basic planting instructions. All levels of gardeners are welcome to join this free class!

Saturday, Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. – Best Shrubs for Landscape Color – Let your landscape shine with color and texture. Our local horticulturist will show you shrubs that not only thrive in our communities but provide year-round color through interesting foliage or blooms during this free class.

Each class is instructed by a nursery professional who will offer timely gardening advice and hands-on demonstrations. Armstrong Garden Centers also offers free garden talks from its team of experts for local gardening clubs, homeowners associations and other community groups.
