The work week in San Diego begins with a gradual warming trend that will push temperatures 5 degrees above normal by Wednesday.

“High pressure to the south will bring a warming trend through Wednesday with inland high temperatures around 5 degrees above average and hottest temperatures in the lower deserts near 115,” according to the National Weather Service office in San Diego.

The forecast for Monday calls for partly cloudy conditions in the morning, then mostly sunny weather in the afternoon.

Highs are expected to be 70 to 75 near the coast, 76 to 81 inland, 78 to 83 in the western valleys and 84 to 89 in the foothills.
