San Diego Humane Society President and CEO Gary Weitzman will hold a book signing event Tuesday for his new book on how to best take care of a pet.
Weitzman’s book, “Complete Guide to Pet Health, Behavior and Happiness” is intended to be a comprehensive guide to taking care of domesticated pets like dogs and cats, including tips regarding how to care for aging pets, pet adoption and how to determine if a pet is ill. Weitzman published the book with National Geographic.
“This book is another example of how we at San Diego Humane Society are creating a more compassionate world by helping people take better care of their pets,” Weitzman said. “If pet owners have the tools they need, then they are less likely to relinquish them to a shelter.”
Weitzman is scheduled to sign books at Warwick’s at 7812 Girard Ave. at 7:30 p.m. Residents can reserve a seat at the event by pre-ordering a copy of the book from Warwick’s, which can be reached at 858-454-0347. Weitzman will only sign books purchased from Warwick’s, according to the book store.
