The Metropolitan Transit System will be asking residents to help craft the vision for transit in San Diego through a series of community forums throughout the agency’s service territory. The first forum will be held in National City Thursday, June 6 at 6 p.m.
Public transit can help solve housing and mobility challenges, meet goals for air quality and climate action plans, and provide real choices for residents to move throughout the region.
Community forums are open to the public. They are designed to create a dialogue about values and provide opinions about how to best improve the current state of transit in San Diego. The forums will be just one way the public can weigh in over the next several months as MTS works toward developing a possible ballot measure in 2020
The meeting will be at the South County Regional Education Center, 800 National City Blvd., National City.
Parking: Third floor of parking structure only. Transit: UC San Diego Blue Line – 8th Street Station and Bus Routes 932, 955, 962, 963 and 968 – W. 8th & Roosevelt.
