Garbage pickup will delayed in San Diego and all city offices will be closed on Monday in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

There will be a one-day delay in curbside trash, recyclables and yard waste pickup throughout the week. Monday’s collection will occur on Tuesday, Tuesday’s on Wednesday, and so on until the normal schedule resumes on Monday, June 3.

Many recreational facilities will be open, including Chollas Lake, the San Vicente Reservoir, city golf courses, public skate parks and the Mission Trails Regional Park visitor center.

However, all neighborhood recreation centers and pools, city libraries, the Tecolote Nature Center and the Miramar landfill will be closed for the holiday.

Police and fire service will not be affected, but parking meters not be enforced on Memorial Day.
