The Port of San Diego is adding a 10th annual parking holiday to make it easier for residents and visitors to enjoy the waterfront.

President’s Day and Cesar Chavez Day were added as parking holidays, while Columbus Day was dropped, for a net gain of one day.

The other parking holidays are New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

While parking is free on parking holidays, the port will continue to enforce the posted time limits.

The port has meters and pay stations at approximately 1,200 spaces at Shelter Island, Spanish Landing, the Embarcadero, Tuna Harbor, Ruocco Park, Embarcadero Marina Park North and Embarcadero Marina Park South.
