The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory through 2 a.m. Monday for coastal areas, with the highest surf expected in southern San Diego County.
“A northwest swell will continue high surf at the beaches through tonight,” the agency reported Sunday, noting that waves and surf will be 5-8 feet, with sets to 10 feet south of Del Mar.
The NWS warns of strong rip currents and hazardous swimming conditions, and the possibility of minor beach erosion.
