The National Weather Service issued a Dense Fog Advisory Sunday that is expected to last through 9 a.m. Monday.

The heavy fog is forecast to impact the morning commute, as well as air traffic at San Diego International Airport.

“Visibility is expected to drop quickly along the I-5 corridor the next couple of hours,” the NSW tweeted shortly after 7 p.m. “Drive safe, and be advised flight delays [at] Lindbergh are likely.”

In addition to flight delays, flight cancellations are also possible, the NWS is reporting.

The fog will extend up the coast into Orange County and up to 10 miles inland throughout both regions, with visibility less than a quarter mile, according to the NWS.

Mariners are also advised to be prepared for sudden reductions in visibility and to remain in the harbor until conditions improve.
