Halloween this year is on Wednesday, so this weekend lots of spooky celebrations are happening for All Hallow’s Eve. Click here for our listing of the top Halloween happenings.

Here’s what else is happening this weekend.

San Diego Mac n’ Cheese Fest

Who doesn’t like some serious cheesiness on their mac n’ cheese? Well, this year organizers promise even more cheesiness.

Participating restaurants are pick from the top culinary talents in the area to compete for the title of San Diego’s Best Gourmet Mac n’ Cheese.

What else goes great with mac n’ cheese? Local craft beers. Participants get 10 free beer tastings while voting for their favorite mac n’ cheese.

The fourth annual  San Diego Mac n’ Cheese Fest goes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Waterfront Park. Tickets are $40 for general admission and $70 for VIP. All tickets include unlimited mac n’ cheese tasting. VIP ticket holders start the festivities 30 minutes earlier and get access to the VIP lounge.

Fleet Week Military Ship Tours

This weekend is also Fleet Week in San Diego. There are plenty of activities and events celebrating the military in town.

Part of the celebration is tours of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard ships docked at the Broadway Pier. The tours are free but visitors must be at least 5 years old to tour the ships.

Fleet Week Military Ship Tours goes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Strollers, large bags and backpacks as well as glass bottles are not permitted aboard.

San Diego Pet Con

From “Woof” to “Meow” to “Tweets,” the San Diego Pet Con is geared toward pets and their needs.

Your furry friends and receive the “spa treatments” from groomers, sample delicious treats and try on the latest furry fashions (OK, human companions may like that one more than the four-legged ones).

Pet owners can get training and pet-care tips from top trainers and local animal welfare organizations. Pet adoptions are also available.

San Diego Pet Con goes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Admission is free.

Brews & Boos

As any San Diegans know, it’s not a proper weekend without some sort of beer festival happening in town.

For those want to have some fun this Halloween weekend without doing much of the Halloween stuff, Brews & Boos is a perfect event. Admission to the event gets you unlimited pours of craft beer from 10 local breweries.

There are also food, drink specials and outdoor games.

Brews & Boos goes from noon to 5 p.m. at Upper East Bar atop Kimpton Solamar Hotel. Tickets are $25
