On June 10, Horton Plaza Park will transform into a wellness enthusiasts’ dream for the launch of Yoga After Dark (YAD) festival—a one-night only event where yoga and silent disco meet under the glow of the moon and twinkling stars.

Beginning at 6:30 p.m., yogis of all levels are invited to gather at the epic outdoor space for a social hour equipped with a mindful vendor market, local artists, glowing body art dubbed “peace paint” and mood music.
Immediately following the social hour, attendees will gather on their mats with individual noise-cancelling headphones powered by SOUND OFF™ headphones and accompanied with mood music by DJ Mango Jennings. The SOUND OFF experience allows yogis to bend, balance and dance while also tuning in to the instructor provided by Sojourn Healing Collective.
“Yoga After Dark is the product of my passions— accessible wellness, the elements our city offers and connecting people with themselves and others,” said Founder of Yoga After Dark festival, Krystal Sanchez. “I really wanted to take your typical wellness event and infuse a little rebellious spirit, so when SOUND OFF approached me to continue the series in Southern California, it was a no brainer for me.”
This isn’t Sanchez’s first dive into the entrepreneurship pool. The Hillcrest-based boss lady is founder of San Diego’s Micro Meetup, a local event series dedicated to bringing the social and wellness aspects back to networking. Sanchez, in partnership with SOUND OFF headphones, plans to launch this festival throughout the United States.
The event is on Sunday, June 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Horton Plaza Park. Tickets are $30 per person for general admission and $45 per person for VIP entry which includes added wellness discounts, mindful swag from top health companies, and a “Save My Space” experience.
