The Mother’s Day jazz cruise aboard the Inspiration Hornblower.

It’s not too late to treat your mother to a memorable Mother’s Day in San Diego. Here are Times of San Diego’s seven last-minute suggestions for celebrating the 2018 holiday.

San Diego Bay Jazz Cruise — Hornblower Cruises & Events  is offering a Mother’s Day Champagne brunch cruise with live jazz. There are three boarding times on Mother’s Day for the two-hour cruise on San Diego Bay in Hornblower’s ultra-modern Inspiration Hornblower. There’s also an evening dinner cruise.

Old Havana Soiree — If Ernest Hemingway lived in San Diego, he might take his mom to Havana 1920 in the Gaslamp. The restaurant is offering a three-course meal inspired by Executive Chef Anthony Porras’ Cuban family. And if you go at night, there’s live Cuban music.

You can sample dozens of delectable chocolate tastings, watch cooking demonstrations and enjoy a chocolate fountain before touring the acclaimed gardens. A dozen chocolate artisans will be displaying this year.

There were still reservations available a week out, especially if your mother is a late riser.

Italian in Coronado — Celebrate “Festa Della Mamma” at Primavera Ristorante in Coronado with a prix fixe brunch menu and complimentary mimosas for moms. Selections include grilled shrimp avocado, salmon bruschetta and lobster eggs Benedict.

A Special Cake — The Baskin-Robbins stores in San Diego are offering new Floral Stripe Cakes for Mother’s Day. These cakes feature stripes in different shades of pink and an elegant rosette design. They can be customized with any of mom’s favorite ice cream and cake flavors
