The National Weather Service office in San Diego is forecasting another Pacific storm to enter the region beginning Thursday night, but this one will produce much less rain that the last.

The weather service said most parts of San Diego County will get only up to a quarter-inch of rain.

“Light precipitation is forecast, so no significant impacts are anticipated,” forecasters said.

The rain is expected to begin Thursday night, peak on Friday, and taper off through Saturday.

Snowfall is possible on Palomar Mountain, Mt. Laguna and near Julian.

The first major storm of the season dumped over 2 inches of rain on many parts of San Diego County between Monday and Wednesday last week.
