San Diego Fire-Rescue is looking to recruit firefighters, with open enrollment ending Dec. 28, according to an announcement from the city Tuesday.

Basic recruitment requirements include being at least 18 years of age, a high school grad or equivalent, a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the country, and a licensed California driver.

Potential recruits must also hold all of the following certificates:

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certificate or a Paramedic License issued by the State of California or by the National Registry (NREMT-Basic) or by an EMT or Paramedic certifying agency approved by the State of California. Recruits must also hold a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Card (Healthcare Provider/BLS Provider equivalent or higher).
