A hiker with an injured leg had to be rescued from a trail in the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve this Saturday afternoon, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
An open space rescue response was dispatched at about 4:15 p.m. to Black Mountain Road and Mercy Rd. in Rancho Penasquitos just north of Mira Mesa, when a man with a leg injury could not walk due to his injury, according to spokeswoman Monica Munoz.
He suffered the injury from a fall and was lifted from the area by the SDFD’s Copter 2, Munoz said. His name was not released and it was not clear whether he was hospitalized.
