Help raise funds for the San Diego Humane Society by joining North County’s largest collective dog walk this Saturday.

The Feb. 25 Walk for Animals, a 2-mile walk at Escondido’s Kit Carson Park, is open to walkers and dogs on leashes.

All registered participants will receive a commemorative Walk for Animals T-shirt.

The event is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Participation fees are:

$40 – Adults (ages 18+)
$20 – Children (ages 17 and under)
$10 – Cat Nappers (Individuals who are raising funds but not attending the walk. T-shirts for Cat Nappers will be mailed after the event.)

Schedule of events:
7 a.m. — Registration, pancake breakfast, entertainment
8:30 a.m. — Blessing of the animals
8:45 a.m. — Warm up
9 a.m. — Walk begins
10:15 a.m. — Dog activities and Vendor Village continue until Noon

Online registration for the event closes at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2017.

Same day onsite event registration begins at 7 a.m., Kit Carson Park. The park is located at 3333 Bear Valley Parkway in Escondido.
