The winner of the 45th annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights was revealed Tuesday — a shimmering display of lights on the motor yacht Libro d’Oro.
The long-standing holiday tradition is held on San Diego Bay over two December weekends, and the best decorated boats chosen as winners.
The parade includes more than 80 boats. It starts at Shelter Island and proceeds to Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, the Pier at Cesar Chavez Park, and then ends at Ferry Landing in Coronado.
The “Best of Parade” award and “Star of India Perpetual Cup” were awarded to Libro d’Oro. Another boat, the Dolphin, took home the “International” and “Best in Theme” awards.
The winners were announced at a dinner at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse on Tuesday.
