A 3.7-magnitude earthquake rattled the far southeastern reaches of the San Diego area late Thursday afternoon.
The temblor struck shortly before 5:30 p.m., centered about 22 miles east of Pine Valley and roughly a mile north of county Highway S2, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
No damage or injuries were reported, but the quake was felt in many parts of East County.
