The digital invitation service Evite on Thursday ranked San Diego as America’s No. 4 city for parties and other get-togethers throughout 2016.
Evite analyzed data from parties across the United States and Canada over the past 12 months and ranked cities based on the number of events planned.
Houston ranked first with 70,864 events, Chicago second with 64,157, Austin third with 61,502 and San Diego fourth with 54,632.
Los Angeles, where Evite is headquartered, came in fifth, but didn’t break 50,000 events.
“These cities are leading the way when it comes to bringing people together face-to-face and strengthening connections with friends and family,” said Victor Cho, chief executive officer of Evite. “We are confident they will keep on partying throughout the holiday season and beyond!”
Evite has more than 100 million users and handles approximately 20,000 invitations every hour.
