Celebrate Oktoberfest this weekend in Ocean Beach.

Ocean Beach organizations will host its festival Friday and Saturday. Attendees can expect live entertainment live Brothers Gow and the Boogie Brothers.

The beer line-up includes brews such as Bavarian beers, seasonal beers and beers from local brewers.

The event also features a Ms. O’ fest pageant.

OB’s Oktoberfest runs from from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday.

Bow Wow Brunch Cruise

Grab the pups and head to the Hornblower Cruise ship for the eighth annual Bow Wow Brunch Cruise this Sunday. The event, which is a fundraiser for Helen Woodward Animal Center, includes a bountiful buffet with unlimited champagne. Fido also gets a pet buffet to choose from along with a dog area set up on the sun deck of the yacht. For more information, go to

Disney on Ice

Disney on Ice is back in San Diego. This time, Feld Entertainment brings “Passport to Adventure,” telling the stories of “The Lion King,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Peter Pan” and “Frozen” and narrated by none other than Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. The show runs at Valley View Casino Center through Sunday.

La Jolla Art and Wine Festival

The annual Art and Wine Festival returns to the village of La Jolla this weekend. The event, which runs on Saturday and Sunday, features a wine and beer garden, a family art center, live music and other entertainment and a silent auction. Of course, attendees can also expect great bites from restaurants such as Puesto and The Gumbo Pot. The event runs on Girard Avenue between Torrey Pines Road and Prospect Street.

Sleepless in San Diego

Learn more about homelessness with this camp-out at Liberty Station. The San Diego Rescue Mission will host its annual Sleepless in San Diego in an effort to educate the public about homelessness. Attendees are asked to camp-out Saturday night. The event will include live music and performances, activities and plenty of information about homelessness in San Diego.

Love & Autism

The third annual Love & Autism event will take place this weekend. The conference is aimed t inspire and bring awareness to the fact that every individual, even those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, deserves to be loved and have high-quality relationships in life. Held at Liberty Station Conference Center, the two-day conference will feature world-renowned professional speakers in the autism field and role models in the autism community.

Little Italy FIESTA!

The largest Italian festival on the West Coast, the 22nd annual Little Italy FIESTA!, will take over 12 blocks along India Street from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The event pays tribute to San Diego’s Italian heritage and culture that created the iconic downtown neighborhood and features Italian food, al fresco dining, Italian music on three stages, a Sicilian flag procession, street stickball and bocce ball tournaments, Italian chalk and more.
