The San Diego Festival of Beer returns this Friday.
The event, which benefits the San Diego Professionals Against Cancer, will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Broadway Pier.
Guests attending the festival will sample 120 varieties of beer, cider and mead from 60 craft breweries, purchase food from local food trucks and restaurants and enjoy live music all for a great cause. All of the proceeds from the festival go to local cancer related charities.
This year’s festival will have a political theme. Attendees are encouraged to where red, white and blue and come join the bipartisan festivities, which include a ballot voting station where guests can vote for their favorite beer.
Tickets are $50.

Dive into the Halloween fun this weekend with SeaWorld’s Spooktacular event. Children are encouraged to dress up in their best Halloween gear and trick-or-treat throughout the adventure park. The Sea Lion and Otter Stadium will also offer a holiday-themed show. New this year for Spooktacular will be a family-friendly celebration of the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos. The family-friendly event begins this weekend and runs every weekend through the end of October. The event is a part of the admission cost.
Bicycle lovers, beer connoisseurs and carnival fiends alike will bring out their strangest attire and rejoice as Tour de Fat returns this Saturday. The event includes a bicycle parade at Golden Hill Park, live entertainment and bike contests. The daylong event is free for watchers, with all donations and proceeds from beer and merchandise sales go to the San Diego County Bike Coalition and the San Diego Mountain Bike Association.
The 22nd annual Pacific Islander Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday at Ski Beach. The event, which typically draws more than 80,000 people, celebrates the cultures and traditions of the Pacific Islander community. Guests can expect live entertainment, along with plenty of delectable eats and educational lessons.
The pumpkin patch opens this weekend! This North County favorite offers families the chance to go on hayrides, run through a straw maze and enjoy a petting corral. Of course, you’ll also have an opportunity to choose out a pumpkin. The pumpkin patch is open through the end of October.
