More than 600 Oceanside-area homes and businesses remained in the dark Wednesday due to a power outage.
The outage struck at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday and initially affected 1,101 utility customers in Oceanside, San Luis Rey and Ocean Hills, according to San Diego Gas & Electric. As of about 8:30 a.m., service had been restored to 470 customers.
SDG&E estimated crews would have electrical service fully restored by 2:30 p.m.
