If you can appreciate art, you won’t want to miss the San Diego Festival of the Arts.
Formerly the La Jolla Festival of the Arts, the 30th annual event will be held at the Waterfront Park on Saturday and Sunday.
This year’s festival will feature 200 artists from a range of disciplines. There will also be live music performed by 25 different local and national acts. On top of that, family-friendly games and activities will be available.
The festival, hosted by San Diego Magazine and Torrey Pines Kiwanis, benefitting adaptive sports programs for San Diegans with disabilities.
Since its inception, the festival has raised nearly $2 million in support of more than 30 programs, through which more than 40,000 people with disabilities have participated. More than $90,000 was dispersed to 24 organizations from 2015 proceeds alone, benefiting over 12,000 individual San Diegans.
Tickets for the event start at $11.
