Free meals for kids will be provided at more than 200 locations across San Diego County this summer, the San Diego Hunger Coalition announced Tuesday.
Further details may be obtained by calling 211 or online at fns.usda.gov/summerfoodrocks by entering an address or zip code.
Some program sites in San Diego County will open as early as June 13. Dates of operation vary by location.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Service Program was established to help the 59 percent of students who benefit from free or reduced- price lunches at school, continue to have the access to nutrition that they otherwise would not have.
