Giddy up, the Lakeside Rodeo is riding back into town.

The 52nd annual event in East County will feature rides, the Miss Rodeo Lakeside pageant, bull riding, bronco riding, among other activities. The Rodeo will also include a parade Saturday morning, running from Woodside Avenue eastward and then down Maine Avenue. Scott McEwen, co-author of American Sniper, will serve as the grand marshall.

Festivties for the event kick off Friday and run through Sunday. Tickets start at $15 for adults and $10 for children. Pull out those cowboy boots! It will definitely be a Western event you don’t want to miss.

Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair

Experience culture and fun at the 31st annual Multi-Cultural Fair in Linda Vista. The San Diego neighborhood is home more than 22 languges, according to organizers, and all will be repsented at the fair. The event includes live entertainment, children’s activities and plenty of ethnic bites. Festivities take place on Linda Vista Road from Comstock to Ulric streets at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Festival of Beers

It wouldn’t be a San Diego weekend without a beer festival. This weekend’s Festival of Beers is hosted by the Lafayette Hotel in north Park. Attendees can expect to sample beer from breweries such as Mission, Lagunitas, Saint Archer, Novo Brazil and Alpine Beer. Food vendors will also be available to serve fresh eats as attendees sip and eat to live tunes. Tickets start at $45 with proceeds benefitting the San Diego Music Foundation, a nonprofit with the goal of enriching the local communities with music education. The event kicks off at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Encinitas Spring Street Fair

Thousands of people will come together for the annual Spring Street Faire in downtown Encinitas. The event features more than 450 international food vendors. Attendees can also expect plenty of kid-friendly activities, rides, live music, a dog zone and a beer garden. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Celebrating Shakespeare

It’s the 452nd birthday of playwright William Shakespeare and San Diego is celebrating. The Old Globe Theatre in Balboa Park will host a birthday party featuring themed activities, Sonnet Karaoke and activities for children like puppet making. A costume exhibit will also be on display. The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Did we mention there will be free cake?
