Gusty west winds are expected to develop over San Diego County starting Thursday morning, especially over the coastal waters and mountains.
The National Weather Service office in San Diego said the winds will peak Thursday afternoon and evening as a trough of low pressure moves through California.
Winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts 50 to 60 mph are expected in the mountains, while west-northwest winds over coastal waters will be 20 to 25 knots with gusts of 30 to 35 knots.
The weather service said hazardous seas and surf are possible due to the strong winds.
