San Diego-based Foundation for Animal Care and Education on Tuesday announced it will host “Bags & Baubles,” an event to raise funds and awareness for local pets in need of critical or life-saving veterinary care.
The event, which will be held May 1 in Rancho Santa Fe, will allow guests to bid on fashionable items with proceeds going toward the nonprofit.
Hundreds of handbags from designer brands such as Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Rebecca Minkoff, Stella McCartney, Salvatore Ferragamo, Kate Spade, Fendi, Prada, Gucci, Coach and Betsy Johnson will be up for auction.
The event will also feature an array of jewelry pieces, and a collection of accessories and designer sunglasses from brands like Tom Ford, Ray Ban, and Dolce & Gabbana.
Food and wine will also be available.
More than 450 guests attended last year’s Bags & Baubles, which raised over $100,000 for pets facing “economic euthanasia.”
Registration for the event is open and with a registration fee of $25 per person. Guests can register online at www.face4pets.org.
