A jungle with more than 20 species for butterflies will open this week at San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
The annual springtime event allows visitors to step into a unique exhibit and view thousands of colorful butterflies as they flitter through an enclosed jungle.
Visitors are encouraged to wear bright colors and move slowly to attract the butterflies. Butterflies may land on a shoulder, head or anywhere else they desire.
Butterfly Jungle runs from March 12 to April 10, with extended Safari Park hours—from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily—during this event.
