National Weather Service map shows forecast highs in the 80s and 90s for Presidents Day.

Santa Ana conditions on Monday and Tuesday will increases temperatures as much as 20 degrees above normal in the San Diego region.

The National Weather Service office in San Diego said the weather pattern will feature strong high pressure and offshore flow through Tuesday. Wednesday will be cooler with a chance of rain Wednesday night into Thursday.

The Santa Ana winds will also increase the danger of fire, with the weather service warning “there will be several hours of near critical fire weather conditions” into Monday afternoon.

The forecast for San Diego calls for sun with highs 81 to 86 near the coast and 88 to 93 inland with 15 mph east winds. Lows overnight Monday will be in the 50s.
