Here’s our top picks of weekend goodies:

Oceanside Art Walk

The Oceanside Art Walk is held in the scenic downtown neighborhood of the coastal city. Attendees can expect live performances, pop-up galleries and family-friendly activities. The free event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.

Lake Poway Youth Fishing Derby

Grab your camping gear, including the fishing poles and head to Lake Poway this weekend. The city will host its 21st Annual Lake Poway Youth Fishing Derby where families are invited to spend the night Friday and wake up early to live entertainment, a free BBQ and plenty of fish in the lake. The event runs 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday.

San Diego Jewish Film Festival

The San Diego Jewish Film Festival is back and runs through Feb. 14. Attendees can expect a variety of films from “Hill Start” to “The Law.” The festival runs at numerous theaters throughout the region. Prices vary.

Monster Jam

Ready to see massive trucks do absolutely ridiculous things? Monster Jam is back this weekend and runs at 2 p.m. at Petco Park. Attendees can expect to see amazing tricks including back flips and more. Tickets start at $15.

Mardi Gras

It’s Fat Tuesday! Well, maybe not just yet, but the Gaslamp has all the goods to make Mardi Gras happen this Saturday. Partygoers will experience multiple stages of live music, plenty of food and of course, some beads. Nearby bars and clubs also have a ton of drink specials lined up.
