An autistic teenager went missing in the Talmadge area Thursday — the third time he has been reported gone in two years. It prompted a search of the mid-city neighborhood and surrounding areas.
The last known sighting of Devon Finks, 17, was at Hoover High School in the 4400 block of El Cajon Boulevard about 7:15 a.m., according to San Diego police.
Finks also went missing in June 2014 and January 2015, according to media reports.
At the time of his latest disappearance, the boy described as nonverbal with the mental development of a 10- to 12-year-old was wearing blue jeans, a gray shirt with the words “Las Vegas” on it, a dark-blue jacket and white tennis shoes.
Finks was carrying a blue backpack.
Anyone spotting a person matching the missing teen’s description was asked to call SDPD communications at (619) 531-2000.
In previous incidents, Finks was found at a trolley stop in Chula Vista after riding buses all day and at a trolley station in Santee.
