It will be warm and partly cloudy in San Diego on Sunday, but the region will slowly cool down and rain is possible by Thursday.
High temperatures from the upper 70s to upper 80s on Sunday will drop to the low to mid 70s along the coast and inland later in the week.
The National Weather Service said a ridge of high pressure along the West Coast will slowly weaken and push eastward, allowing a dip in the jet stream to develop. The result will be a slow cooling trend and a slight chance of precipitation by Thursday.
The official forecast for San Diego on Sunday calls for partly cloudy conditions and light winds with highs 79 to 84 along the coast to 84 to 89 inland.
