The heat wave that has gripped San Diego for the past four days is gradually receding, but it will still be a warm weekend.
The National Weather Service is forecasting cloudy skies with highs from 81 to 86 along the coast and 85 to 90 inland. There is a slight chance of rain in the mountains and deserts.
There will be a continued cooling trend over the weekend. Highs on Sunday will be 78 to 83 near the coast and 83 to 88 inland.
