The Legoland California Resort announced Tuesday that it will open a new section based on the popular Ninjago line of Lego toys.
The area, due to open in the spring, will include interactive elements and a new ride featuring Ninjago characters, according to the theme park.
Lego Ninjago tells the story of four young ninja heroes — Kai, Jay, Cole and Zane — who train under the watchful eye of Sensei Wu to master the ancient martial art of Spinjitzu.
Through sales of toys and a Cartoon Network television program, Lego said Ninjago has become one of its most successful properties.
Some of the products in the Ninjago line include the Titanium Dragon, which characters can ride into battle; Battle for Ninjago City, featuring a temple the characters will defend; and the Ninja Charger, a vehicle that includes a built-in interceptor bike.
The new area will be included in the cost of admission to the Legoland California Resort.
