If your neighborhood gets rain on Thursday, remember to turn off your sprinklers.

Rain probabilities for San Diego on Thursday range from 25 percent along to coast to 50 percent or more inland.

Mandatory water restrictions in effect since Nov. 1 in San Diego state clearly that “irrigation is not permitted during a rain event.”

If the rain is significant, you may be able to keep sprinklers off for a week or more, reducing your water bill in addition to saving precious gallons.

With the lowest early April snowpack in 75 years, California is facing a record drought.
