Cooler, unsettled weather across Southern California could bring showers to the San Diego area between Tuesday and Friday this week.

The National Weather Service office in San Diego said any rainfall during the period will be “showery in nature, with accumulations staying on the lighter side.”

The forecast for the San Diego area Monday calls for low clouds in the morning followed by partly cloudy conditions and highs 65 to 70.

“After Monday of this week the weather will be increasingly unsettled,” the weather service said. “Temperatures will also cool down, allowing most locations to see below average high temperatures Wednesday-Friday.”

Unsettled conditions occur during the passage of low-pressure systems.
