A small earthquake, with a preliminary magnitude of 2.4, rattled Camp Pendleton at 2:50 a.m. Saturday.

The epicenter was five miles northwest of Oceanside, in the ocean off Camp Pendleton, and it was seven miles below the surface, according to seismographs and computers at the Southern California Earthquake Data Center.
No one signed onto the USGS “Did You Feel It?” page to report they felt the reported quake.
