A total of 2,791 people in El Cajon, Fletcher Hills, Santee and Carlton Hills have been without power Sunday since 4:26 p.m., according to SDG&E.
“SDG&E is assessing the outage to determine the cause,” the utility said.
SDG&E estimated power would be restored by 7 p.m.
An outage map shows unplanned outages near San Marcos and Oceanside in addition to the East County one.
